    Vision

To support home gardening and community-supported agriculture on Vancouver’s North Shore. We work together to grow prosperous crops, while addressing larger issues such as food security and ecological sustainability.

    Belief

We believe that fresh produce should be available to all families in our community. As a growing team of avid home gardeners, our aim is to make that belief a reality.

Our Work

Through shared learning of home gardening best practices our members cultivate not only better crops, but also a real sense of community. We seek to achieve our community-centric vision through the following work.

  • We come together at workshops, urban farm tours, social events, and educational sessions to share knowledge and learn from others
  • We return to our home gardens, roll up our sleeves, and get our hands dirty! We strive to grow larger and healthier harvests by embracing the knowledge gained at our group sessions and applying it to our own personal home gardens
  • We share our crops! Did you know that a single potato plant can produce 5 pounds of potatoes? Often faced with a surplus of excess produce, our members re-distribute their harvest to friends, neighbours, and the broader community

The best part? We have fun, and gain a real sense of stewardship in both our gardens and our communities.
